入学式後のインタビューで、ひなさんは「勝ちたいレースは皐月賞です」「フェアプレー賞を獲得できるような騎手になりたい」と語った。皐月賞は２００４年に父がコスモバルクで２着に敗れたレース。「ディスってますよね（笑い）。しかもフェアプレー賞つきだからね」。そう苦笑いする五十嵐師は今年１月に門別競馬場で厩舎を開業した。
